EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

Education is essential – not only to promote personal resilience and prevent health problems, but also to encourage early identification of those health professionals who are experiencing stress, distress and illness. We believe that by sharing knowledge on topics such as addressing the stigma associated with substance use disorder and mental health issues and ways for healthcare professionals to seek help with these concerns, we can empower healthcare professionals with the tools needed to navigate these challenges effectively. In addition to our educational initiatives, our outreach serves as a vital means to let the broader community know about our existence and the assistance we can provide. By reaching out, we strive to raise awareness of UPHP’s mission and services, ensuring that those in need are aware of the support and resources available to them. Ultimately, our outreach endeavors seek to build a resilient and informed healthcare community, both by directly supporting individuals and by making our presence known to those who may benefit from our assistance.

Presentation Offerings

We offer educational programs about the effects of stress, burnout, mental health and substance use disorders and how a healthcare professional can access confidential services through UPHP. We also educate employers on how they can assist their employees with accessing our services. Below is a list of presentation topics that we can provide at your organization.
